ICR-OS 6.3.3 Released

A new version of ICR-OS (Conel OS), firmware for the Advantech routers, is out!

A patch-level release mainly brings many security fixes, improvements, and updates. You are welcome to check out the Release Notes for the detailed changelog.

A few highlighted points from the changelog:

  • WireGuard VPN support WireGuard is a communication protocol and software that implements encrypted virtual private networks (VPNs) and is designed with the goals of ease usage, high-speed performance, and low attack surface.   • Cisco FlexVPN support FlexVPN is Cisco’s implementation of the IKEv2 standard featuring a unified paradigm and CLI that combines site-to-site, remote access, hub-and-spoke topologies, and partial meshes. For more information about our implementation, see the FlexVPN application note.

  • Reported cellular signal strength was enhanced with a new field for SINR value.

  • LAN GUI menu has been renamed from LAN to Ethernet, from Primary LAN to ETH0, etc.

  • Several miscellaneous bug fixes and other improvements have been applied.

  • The BusyBox software suite was upgraded, having a large number of security fixes.

  • OpenSSH and strongSwan software have been updated to fix three high and one medium severity vulnerabilities.

  • Other security fixes.
