Node-RED logoWe have released the new Node-RED Router App this week. The release has some new nodes (Big Timer, Credentials, Float and Loop), includes flow definitions to the router reports so you do not need to send it separately, and fixes a few small bugs. What you may find useful are two options which make it easier to provide your own flows.

A new version of ICR-OS (Conel OS), firmware for the Advantech routers, is out!

Being a major release, this firmware brings new features and significant improvements. You are welcome to check out the Release Notes for the detailed changelog.

A few highlighted points from the changelog:

  • Multiple SSIDs: support for two independent SSIDs (WLANs) for the WiFi AP mode.
  • The route-based VPN policy is now supported. So both, policy-based and route-based VPN approaches are supported by Advantech routers.

A new version of ICR-OS (Conel OS), firmware for the Advantech routers, is out!

Being a patch-level release brings mainly a number of improvements and updates. It includes security fixes for one high, two medium, one low, and a few not-classified severity vulnerabilities. You are welcome to check out the Release Notes for the detailed changelog.

A few highlighted points from the changelog:

From the beginning of 2021, we started to use the new name ICR-OS (Industrial Cellular Routers OS) instead of Conel OS for the router operating system. Now we finished that transition and prepared a basic overview of ICR-OS features on the web page.

Our Routers Are Not Affected by the AMNESIA:33 Vulnerabilities

Forescout Research Labs has recently published a report from a study called AMNESIA:33, which performed a security analysis of seven open-source embedded TCP/IP stacks. The study discovered 33 new vulnerabilities in four of the seven analyzed stacks. For more details see the White Paper.

Our routers use the Linux Kernel TCP/IP stack, which is not affected by the listed vulnerabilities. Should you have more questions, please contact your Regional Support.
