Introduction

Our downloadable Router Apps (User Modules) add extended functions to our cellular routerswith each app tailored to a specific solution.
You can perceive these as something extra as it is not part of the firmware. Router Apps can be developed by our R&D, partners, or by users themselves. If you want to develop your own Router App (User Module), continue by reading the DevZone pages.
Our apps divide into more than 6 groups, according to their function – Industrial converting protocols, IIoT, Networking, Programming, Security, and Tools

After installing the appropriate app you can use our routers to convert protocol IEC101 to protocol IEC104, replace legacy dialup modems, connect serial equipment at remote sites, bridge a wide variety of data networking protocols, or simply run Midnight Commander in bash

Advanced users can also develop their own apps or use an app called Node-Red. Node-Red provides flow-based visual programming to help create simple solutions to even the most complicated tasks. More details can be found here. Our technical support team are on hand to answer your questions and assist you with app installation, setup, activation, and a provide in depth information about our cellular apps.

Cellular Router Apps for Industrial Protocol Conversion

Our experts benefit from extensive skills gained through implementing an array of industrial protocols into a variety of devices over the years.

These routers are easily configurable through our web interface, and through this same portal, it is now possible to add greater functionality and configuration options with the addition of Cellular Router Apps.

There appeared very simple and intuitive web-based configurable Cellular Router Conversion Apps. Those apps move the industrial world closer to users with commercial product skills.

IIoT - Security - Networking

New technology needs to be more secure, more flexible and more interoperable. To us, these are not just buzzwords.

We have developed a number of Cellular Router Apps to help you make the most of new technological opportunities.

Being part of the IoT world has never been easier...

Node-Red

The Node-Red app allows easy, low-code programming for event-driven applications, with everything controlled in a web browser environment.

As standard, the Node-Red app provides a huge archive of nodes and flows, including MQTT, SMS, Modbus, GPS etc. These core nodes, along with a growing number of newly developed nodes means that the Node-Red app is a constantly expanding tool delivering greater functionality and value.

Docker

More powerful cellular routers bringing to users more options on the software part of the device.

One of our newly available implementations is Docker. Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications that enables to separate applications from your infrastructure to deliver software quickly. Docker provides the ability to package and run an application in a loosely isolated environment. This environment is called a container.

A Docker container image is a lightweight, standalone, executable package of software that includes everything needed to run an application: code, runtime, system tools, system libraries, and settings.

The world of lightweight virtualization has never been closer.
